Who is eligible to enter?
Eligibility to enter the Little Miss DeltaFest & Little Mister DeltaFest: all local, state and federal regulations apply to this contest. Contest is void where prohibited. This contest is open to children ages 6, 7 & 8 years of age as of April 17, 2010, who are legal residents of the state of Louisiana. The adult who enters the child must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. City Employee(s) and their immediate family members, or any persons domiciled with any such employee(s) are not eligible to enter this contest.

When does the contest begin?
The Little Miss DeltaFest & Little Mister DeltaFest Online Contest will begin at 8:00 am (CDT) on December 1, 2009, and end at 8:00 am on April 2, 2010. (CDT).

How do I enter a child?
Beginning at 8:00 am (CDT) on December 1, 2009, and ending at 8:00 am (CDT) January 31, 2010 you can go online to enter at our website: www.ladeltafest.com. Entry shall include submission of a photograph of the child to be entered in addition to all required information on the entry form found online at www.ladeltafest.com. We reserve the right to verify proof of age. A $10.00 non-refundable registration fee must be included with the entry form. Photos should be uploaded in jpg form only. The only way to enter is online. Your computer must accept cookies or similar technology which may be used for entry tracking. Ad blocking software needs to be disabled so that it does not limit the processing of the entry. When you enter, you agree to the terms of these official rules and to receive e-mails from the City of Monroe and DeltaFest. You can remove your name from receiving e-mails by following the directions on the contest website: www.ladeltafest.com. We reserve the right to refuse any photograph determined to be unacceptable or inappropriate. By entering, you also agree that we have the right to publish your child’s photo in this contest promotion.

How do I vote for my choices?
Voting begins February 1, 2010, at 8:00 am (CDT) and ends on April 2, 2010 (CDT). Voting is limited to persons at least 13 years of age (or older). You can vote for your favorite photo by submitting a ballot with 25-cents. There is a $5 minimum on voting which equals 20 votes. Each vote will cost 25-cents. Payment options are on the website, and voting is non-refundable. In the event of a dispute, all online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the Internet Service Provider account from which they were sent. We reserve the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of this contest. Multiple voting is allowed.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
No. All monies used as voting instruments for this contest are NON-REFUNDABLE.

How are the winners and runners-up selected?
One Little Miss DeltaFest and four Runners-Up will be determined by the total votes only. One Little Mister DeltaFest and four Runners-Up will be determined by the total votes only. In the event of a tie, the DeltaFest Committee will randomly select a winner. The winner will be determined after the voting ends April 2, 2010 and will be announced at DeltaFest on April 17, 2010. Winners and Runners-Up must be present to receive their award.

What are the odds of winning?
The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries and the number of votes received online in the proper manner having followed the rules of this contest.

How will I be notified if my entry is a winner?
All entries will be asked to attend DeltaFest on Saturday, April 17, 2009, no later than 11:00 am (CDT). Winners and Runners-Up will be announced at that time from the KidsWorld Stage. THIS IS MANDATORY. An e-mail reminder of the announcement of the contest awards will be sent to the entry e-mail address provided on the entry form. Festival information and/or updates may also be sent via e-mail to the e-mail address provided on the entry form. Failure to attend DeltaFest at the time stated for the announcement of the winners shall result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected.
